Kurt Van Horn is an artist and bookbinder who creates work as an exploration of the self, and pays respect to his past and memories. Although the underlying subject matter is personal, he draws inspiration from history and tradition to create a more universal experience that the viewer can connect with. His work is often modest, quiet, and contained, requiring interaction to fully understand the meanings within. Striving to become a master of his craft, Kurt Van Horn pushes his ingenuity as a maker, creating innovative structures to engage his audience.
